Cable Length

The length of the Ethernet cable you need depends on the distance between your router and the device you’re connecting. It’s important to choose a cable that is long enough to reach the device comfortably without excess cable gathering on the floor. Consider the layout of your home or office and measure the distance carefully to determine the ideal cable length.

Connector Type

The cable jacket should be flexible and resistant to wear and tear. Additionally, check for certifications such as UL or ETL, which indicate that the cable meets industry standards for safety and performance.

For example, cables with LED indicators can indicate when a connection is established or when there is a network issue.
