Troubleshooting Common Issues with High-Speed Network Cables

Check the pinout diagram for the specific cabling standard and verify that the wires are connected correctly. Use a cable tester to ensure the proper continuity and wiring sequence.

EMI and Crosstalk

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk can disrupt network signals, causing packet loss and reduced bandwidth. EMI can originate from external sources, such as power lines or electrical equipment, while crosstalk occurs when signals from adjacent cables interfere with each other. To minimize EMI and crosstalk, use shielded network cables and avoid running them parallel to power cables or other sources of interference.
