RJ-45 connectors are the most common type used for Ethernet cables, but they vary in quality and performance. Category 6 and 6A cables typically utilize RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to enhance electrical conductivity and reduce signal loss.

Similarly, high-quality cables with thicker conductors and proper shielding will deliver optimal performance.
